The goal of this project was to develop a module within the socialprotection.org platform in which the mapping results of COVID-19 social protection responses in the Global South could be displayed in a user-friendly interface (dashboard) and map and update measures from around the world.

COVID-19 database and dashboard

The IPC-IG mapped and assessed social protection measures in response to the COVID-19 at the national level in the global South. The researchers developed a common tracking matrix aiming to offer inputs for the systematic analysis of adaptations and innovations of social protection interventions. The IPC-IG, UNDP Brazil and GIZ then partnered to develop a user-friendly interface for the matrix, improving the reach of its results with a dashboard that was made public in May 2021. 

  1. Mapping and development of a matrix with information on the social protection responses to COVID-19 in the Global South
  2. Matrix revision and development of narratives
  3. Dashboard development (inclusion of narratives and storytelling, definition of design and layout)
  4. Peer review, adjustments and publication of the Beta version of the dashboard on socialprotection.org
