The IPC-IG organised an internal Retreat on 30 August 2022 to discuss its ongoing projects, plan activities for the last quarter of the year and identify and strengthen synergies among teams.
It was the first large in-person gathering of IPC-IG staff since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Those residing outside Brasília were able to participate remotely. In total, 48 employees participated in the Retreat, whether in-person or online.

Opening remarks were provided by Mr. Paulo Jacinto, Director of Studies and Economic Relations and International Policies (Dinte) at Ipea. He highlighted the impressive body of work carried out over the past 18 years by the Centre and the socialprotection.org platform.

Subsequently, all of the IPC-IG Units (Research, socialprotection.org, Publications, Communications, Operations, and IT) delivered presentations detailing their various activities, results and plans for the remainder of the year.

Group activities were then carried out to strengthen synergies between the teams and discuss potential improvements and ways forward. The Retreat contributed to uniting and motivating our workforce in the face of upcoming challenges.
